Privacy Policy
Effective date: 22 October 2026
This policy explains what information is processed when you use memorytestgame.io (the "Site"). We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect your name, email address or other directly identifying information unless you choose to email us.
1. Scores and settings stored on your device
The Memory Test saves your best scores, daily results and preferences (such as sound on/off and your preferred Color Recall answer style) using your browser's localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
2. Third-party embedded games
Apart from our own Memory Test, games on the Site are provided by third-party developers and embedded through GameMonetize. When you open such a game, it loads from the provider's servers, which may receive technical data such as your IP address and browser details, and may set cookies and show their own advertising inside the game. That processing is governed by the providers' own privacy policies, including GameMonetize's privacy policy.
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet. You can learn more at How Google uses cookies in advertising.
You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings, opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info, and, in Europe/UK, at youronlinechoices.eu. Where required by law, visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
4. Analytics
We do not currently use a separate analytics service. If we add one in the future (for example to count visits and understand which pages are popular), we will update this policy to name the provider and describe the data it collects, and request consent where required.
5. Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the Site running.
6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify or erase personal data about you, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). Because we hold very little data that identifies you, the most effective controls are usually your browser settings and the ad opt-out links above.
7. Your rights (California / CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, including for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. To limit ad-related sharing, use the opt-out links above or your browser's Global Privacy Control setting, or contact us.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
